I haven't been listening to much new stuff lately, as I'm trying to get through the old CDRs and review everything. It's been a particularly tough round lately, because none of these albums really inspire me to say much one way or the other.
However, the two best songs I've heard in a while are from the new Morrissey album. I don't think I've ever even listened to Morrissey before now. Maybe I should go back and discover his old albums. But first things first. Gonna keep reviewing in sequential order for the time being. Even if it's just to listen to that stuff. There's little point in keeping it all around if I don't revisit it now and then.
It's not like there's a deluge of great new albums that I feel the need to explore anyway. The only new metal album worth thinking about is the new Megadeth, which I've already got. I haven't listened to it all the way through, but so far it sounds kinda shitty. The songwriting just isn't there. Get back on heroin, Dave!
